I'm Mrs. Jodi Blumhorst, but my students simply call me Mrs. Bee. I am excited to be returning to Hardeman R-10 for my 7th year, teaching 5/6 ELA and 5-8 Math/Pre-Algebra.
Those are not the only hats I wear at our lovely school, as I am also the Student Council sponsor, GATE teacher, building Mary Poppins (I always have what you're looking for), and anything else I can jump into to help. I have been a teacher, ranging from elementary grades and middle school, for more than 18 years. There have been times during my career when I chosen to step away from teaching, to manage a busy family life, to give extra support to my own children, and to simply be a 'Mom'.
I was thrilled to get the chance to work at Hardeman in 2019 and continue to see it as a blessing each and every day.
My husband, Dr. Jeremy Blumhorst, is a Veterinarian in Marshall, Missouri. We have two children, Chloe and Noah. Chloe is 24, and a newly wed, having married Carson Knowles this past March. I am lucky to have them living very close to home (we get to walk together every morning) where we get to enjoy family dinners and get togethers more often.
Noah graduated last year from Marshall High School and has decided to enlist with the National Guard, with a boot camp start date this winter.
When I'm not at school I love to spend my time with the family, watching movies, playing games, enjoying the outdoors, cooking, and traveling. You can typically find me with a book in my hands, crafting or dancing about.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WORKING AT HARDEMAN!!! THIS SCHOOL IS SUCH A BLESSING!
