We are going to continue to utilize an all-inclusive permission slip. We will still continue to send hard copy notifications about the trips so that you have up-to-date information and are aware of the details concerning where we are going, with dates and times. We will provide information regarding things such as whether or not your child needs a school sack lunch, if they need to wear a Hardeman shirt, if we are stopping for snacks and the students need to bring money, etc. As an added means of keeping you informed, I will also work diligently to send short text alert messages to let you know a note is being sent home and also, Mrs. Leimkuehler will be placing the trip information on the school website at www.hardemanschool.com.
We want to continue to keep you as informed as possible, while alleviating the unnecessary step of separate signed permission slips for our standard trips. You will continue to receive notifications and details a week in advance. While we will still obviously welcome the traditional hard copy handwritten notes (about lunches, etc.), we will also welcome contacting the school by phone or by e-mailing your child’s homeroom teacher about this necessary information. We continue to strive to be as accommodating as possible and are hopeful that this change is helpful to our families.
We are also collecting $10 per child, per semester, to cover the field trip fees. This money will be distributed as needed to cover necessary costs, without having to bother parents/guardians each time we take a trip. If in the event we don’t use all the $10 the first semester, we will forward the remaining amount to second semester and send you a note after Christmas break asking for whatever amount is necessary to have the $10 in place for second semester. Any remaining money at the end of second semester will be given back to the families. This is not mandatory, but is highly recommended. If the fee is too much, please let Mrs. Forrester or your child’s homeroom teacher know. We will be happy to help. We want ALL students to be included.
Mrs. Forrester & Mr. Vaillancourt
